Cicada Lodge is a 100% Indigenous owned property located on the bank of the picturesque Katherine River inside the Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park. Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) features distinct sandstone country, lush gullies of foliage inhabit giant cracks in the gorge walls, and broad valleys meander through both the high and the low country.
This diverse and spectacular landscape is also a cultural landscape, where the Jawoyn People (Traditional Indigenous Australian Landowners of Nitmiluk) continue to live and work while sharing their culture with visitors to their Country.
When guests choose to stay at Cicada Lodge, they will be drawn into The Dreaming world of the Jawoyn People whilst still experiencing the highest levels of service and comfort.
Cicada Lodge is designed for the discerning world traveller looking for an authentic Indigenous and natural Australian wilderness “experience-of-a-lifetime,” in the heart of Northern Australia’s Timeless North.
