DAY 1: MELBOURNE
Spend a day getting acquainted with Melbourne’s highlights and hidden gems, the backstreets, boulevards and vibrant local neighbourhoods. Meet creators and innovators at the heart of local culture and industry… the people behind the most well-known and exciting local brands and movements. Enjoy a selection of unique and exclusive experiences tailored to your interests, like a Street-art Masterclass where you join a local artist to paint a piece on a Melbourne laneway wall for all to see. Take advantage of your local guide and arrange a behind-the-scenes visit to the National Gallery guided by the curator, or perhaps take a cocktail or gelato masterclass.
DAY 2: MORNINGTON PENINSULA
Leaving Melbourne in a hurry wouldn’t be suggested without a really good reason. Mornington Peninsula certainly qualifies. Just an hour from the city, this coastal treasure is a trove of local secrets, from five-star farm-to-plate dining to secret beaches and scores of native wildlife. More importantly, it is where many of the best wine making gets done and you will have access to all the best barrel rooms and back vintages. Watch the sun go down over Westernport Bay with a glass of local pinot in a rush to go nowhere at all. Australia’s most exciting new boutique design hotel is just around the corner and their degustation dinner is a showcase of local and seasonal produce at its best.
DAY 3: MORNINGTON AND WILSONS PROMONTORY
Leave the rows of picturesque vines of Mornington behind as you journey to Wilsons Promontory. The Bunorong Coastal Drive is another local secret and affords sensational views all the way to Wilsons Promontory. The southernmost point of mainland Australia is an ecosystem all to itself and requires time and a well-versed local host to properly explore. This bush-walkers paradise is teeming with native wildlife and the perfect place to spot wild koalas, kangaroos, wombats, emus and wallabies. Enjoy some light walking and a few sundowners before settling in for the night.
DAY 4: WILSONS PROMONTORY
After breakfast it’s time to choose if you are for the sky or the seas on your choice of a private boat charter or scenic flight. Both afford a different perspective on one of Australia’s most pristine natural treasures. Enjoy an easy hike along the rugged western coast and a gourmet picnic lunch on an isolated beach famous for its white sand and perfect azure water. The easy drive back to Melbourne is close to three hours and mostly spent on highways. A transfer via spectacular scenic helicopter or light plane can be arranged for an additional cost.
Prices start from $9,920.00AUD (2 guests) for touring and activities.
