COMO The Treasury

Housed in Perth’s 140 year old state buildings in the heart of Perth’s newly revitalised historic heart, COMO The Treasury provides the ultimate fusion of heritage and contemporary design.

Located in Perth’s central business district, COMO The Treasury is one of Western Australia’s most eminent new hotels. Set within the city’s renowned ‘State Buildings’–a city landmark used for over 100 years as a seat of government, post office and treasury–the property has been meticulously restored by Kerry Hill Architects to reflect its heritage.

A sense of serenity and calm flow through the 48 contemporary rooms and suites, as well as the famous COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, Wildflower, Post and The Treasury Lounge and Bar.

Perth

Perth is the capital of Western Australia, a laid-back, lifestyle city of around one million people.

As a holiday destination it matches any, offering a spacious, vibrant inner city on the broad mouth of the Swan River – perfectly set for great al fresco dining with a view!

Beaches like Cottesloe Beach are among Australia’s finest, and the historic port town of Fremantle to the south – a destination in its own right, featuring the world’s best-preserved example of a 19th-century port streetscape – has a colourful arty vibe.

The hilly hinterland offers a completely different escape, a showcase for local produce, including premium wineries and art galleries.

Dining Options

Wildflower

Wildflower is an elegant, contemporary space on the hotel’s fourth floor, set within a rooftop area. Lunch and dinner offerings, served against a backdrop of sweeping views over the Swan River, come from a farmer-and-forager-driven menu of dishes revolving around the indigenous six seasons.

Post

Post is COMO The Treasury’s city osteria, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Post takes its name from the location – the franking room of Perth’s original General Post Office in the State Buildings. The evolving menu offers a contemporary take on classic Italian cuisine, with menu choices guided by seasonal ingredients.

The Treasury Lounge and Bar

Located on the ground floor at the convergence of Cathedral Avenue and St Georges Terrace, The Treasury Lounge and Bar spans three interconnected rooms and is an intimate place to meet. Enjoy a classic afternoon tea at The Treasury Lounge and Bar or something a little more indulgent, like our signature or spring afternoon teas.

COMO The Treasury is open all year round with seasonal fluctuations reflected in the rates.

Between end of August and end of March, Perth experiences a comfortable mild weather and typically clear skies, making it an ideal period to visit. Temperature averages between a 9ºC minimum in September through to a daily maximum of 32ºC in February.
