Day 1

Upon arrival at Sydney Airport you will be met and privately transferred to the Park Hyatt Sydney. Seated majestically on one of the world’s most beautiful harbours, Park Hyatt Sydney perfectly personifies contemporary harbourside luxury with its coveted location between the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The hotel’s spacious rooms feature contemporary interiors, modern bathrooms with dual vanity, wet area, rain shower, deep bathtub and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to private balconies.

Included during your stay is a Sydney half day private tour. This is the perfect way to get your bearings, spending time with an experienced passionate guide to introduce you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This half day tour is just long enough to give you an overall understanding of the history, layout and major icons of Sydney – and leave you wanting to discover more! We’ll introduce you to Sydney’s colourful colonial and aboriginal history, show you the historic Rocks area, the stunning Harbour quarter around Circular Quay, the Botanical Gardens and the Opera House, and take you to our favourite spots to get those killer photos of Sydney. This is a great tour for those who have just landed in Sydney on the early morning long-haul flights – a chance to discover Sydney and get busy, while getting over the jetlag!

Day 2

This morning you are in for a real treat as you make your own way to the Sydney Opera House for a one hour privately guided tour. Discover a house of passion, drama and betrayal. More than 60 years ago, Jorn Utzon designed what is now considered one of the greatest buildings of all time. Using state of the art audio-visual technology, your guide will take you on an emotional journey inside this modern masterpiece.

After lunch at your own leisure, make your way to the BridgeClimb, the ultimate experience of Sydney; reach the summit of the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour. It takes you along catwalks, up ladders, and steadily to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Experience the satisfaction of conquering the upper arch of

the Bridge while taking in city surrounds, the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the Bridge itself beneath your feet.

Day 3

Today you will have at leisure to explore the harbour city of Sydney. Perhaps enjoy some shopping, explore Taronga Zoo or take a trip to Bondi Beach, Sydney’s most iconic beach.

Day 4

This morning you will be met at the Park Hyatt Sydney and privately transferred to the Sydney Airport. Board your flight from Sydney to Uluru, where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to Longitude 131°.

Australia’s most recognisable natural icon and one of the world’s largest monoliths Uluru (Ayers Rock) is the region’s gem and the iconic, sacred red domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) stand nearby.

At Longitude 131° guests take the road less travelled, sharing exclusive and authentic adventures with a select few. An exceptional touring program designed especially for guests is included in the wilderness experience and a personalised itinerary is presented upon arrival. Signature Experiences with lodge naturalist guides are shared with fellow guests in custom touring vehicles. Expeditions operate at scheduled times on a rotating basis, dependant on day of arrival, with timing subject to sunrise and sunset times which vary throughout the year, according to the seasons and weather permitting. Day 6

After breakfast, you will be privately transferred to the Ayers Rock Airport for the scheduled flight to Cairns. Upon arrival at Cairns Airport you will be privately transferred to your harbour side accommodation in the heart of Cairns – The Shangri La Hotel Marina. The Shangri La Hotel Marina provides stunning ocean views, refreshing sea breezes, and affords you access to the central shopping precinct, the harbour, and plenty of local restaurants and cafes.

Day 7

After breakfast, your private driver will collect you at the hotel and transfer you to Cairns Airport for your scheduled flight between Cairns and Lizard Island.

Situated some 240 kilometres north of Cairns, Lizard Island is surrounded by a sea of deep aquamarine and forms part of the Great Barrier Reef near its northernmost end. The beautiful Lizard Island Resort is balanced high above the Coral Sea and set on the point at Sunset Ridge. The range of spacious open-plan designs are luxuriously appointed, all with spectacular views.

The beaches are plentiful, 24 in all, with fine powdery white sand, undisturbed but for the occasional footprints. Your island is for snorkelling, if you choose, or deep-sea game fishing, or diving at The Cod Hole, one of the world famous dive sites just a short boat ride away. Enjoy secluded picnics on private beaches, five-star cuisine and indulging spa treatments.

Naturally many of the options on Lizard Island involve the water. Snorkelling equipment and lessons are provided. You can snorkel off a secluded beach to discover a garden of giant clams, many a metre long and some reputed to be 120 years old. Or you can explore Anchor and Watson’s bay on a catamaran or glass bottom paddle ski.

Fishing enthusiasts can charter the 15.5m “Fascination”, or dive the famous Cod Hole, where you’ll come face to face with the massive, yet curious Potato Cod.

The Essentia Day Spa offers a range of treatments, indulge in signature spa rituals and discover pure, opulent skin care. Rebalance, relax, and rejuvenate while they personalize a spa experience just for you.

Enjoy your last morning on Lizard Island before boarding your scheduled flight to Cairns. Connect with the scheduled flight from Cairns to Sydney (or other departure city).

This tour is designed for – Solo travellers/couples/small groups and families with children 10 years and over. Lizard Island and Longitude 131° are not suited to children under this age. Should the itinerary be of interest and you are travelling with a young family please contact one of our Travel Designers as we can customise a journey to suit your exact travel needs.

This Itinerary can be taken all year round; however we suggest speaking with your Travel Designer as seasonal considerations may apply eg from December to March is the wet season in Tropical North Queensland, when you are likely to experience high humidity and rain, particularly in the months of February and March. Please note that Lizard Island is closed from 30th January 2018 to 12 February 2018 inclusive.
