This Blue Mountains experience is an idyllic way to experience the beauty of World Heritage listed wilderness, right on Sydney’s doorstep.
On this incredible tour your dedicated host will meet you at your Sydney hotel at 8am in a private luxury vehicle for a full day tour to the majestic Blue Mountains. There are a few options on how you can spend your day, which will be catered to specifically meet your interests and desires. Your private tour is personally and privately hosted by a hand-picked local specifically chosen for you and your day and who is equipped with valuable knowledge of the Blue Mountains area with insight into the wonderful geographical, cultural and varying experiences on offer to explore the area.
The Blue Mountains are just 90 minutes from the bustling city centre of Sydney – although not far to travel, you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle. Known for dramatic scenery and beautiful iconic images, it encompasses steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and villages dotted with guesthouses, galleries and gardens.
This tour will take you off the beaten tourist track to discover the stunning private vantage points only a true local would know – ensuring you experience the spectacular wilderness of the Blue Mountains in style. You’ll visit the legendary Three Sisters and hear the rich history of the curious rock formations – there’s so much wonder to discover!
You’ll get a glimpse into the rich history of the Blue Mountains – learning how Aboriginal tribes have lived off the land for thousands of years and the British settled there less than 300 years ago. If you wish, visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre or perhaps a bakery, which prides itself by using ingredients all sourced from the Blue Mountains area.
Next will come a wonderful two-course lunch with a glass of local premium beer or wine in a beautiful picturesque mountain setting. Take time to savour the clean mountain air and relish in the local cuisine.
Enhance your experience by choosing from one of the following experiences:
Be guided on a bush walk (which will be customised to your level of fitness) to explore and learn about the stunning rock formations, plants and waterfalls along the way. The Wentworth Falls Hike is approximately 1 hour and takes you down into the valley alongside a giant waterfall. At the bottom you will reach the incredible waterfall base – a picture of beauty and tranquillity.
Half way to the mountains, stop in at Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you can connect with Australia’s largest collection of native wildlife in a natural bush environment.
