Your day begins with your private guide collection you at your accommodation at 9:00am from Brisbane CBD and 9:30am from Gold Coast.
The Wild Koala Encounter at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is one of the ‘Top 10 Zoos in the World’ (AOL). With a personal Wildlife Education Officer, learn about koala care during a health check, enter a koala exhibit while studying identification and individual personalities. Enjoy learning about each stage of the koala lifecycle with exhibits such as ‘Mums and Joeys’, ‘Bachelors’, ‘Kindy’, and ‘Retirement’.
Your guided tour through the rest of the sanctuary includes hand-feeding kangaroos and seeing other unique Aussie wildlife such as wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingos, snakes, emus and colourful birds.
If your wish to purchase the Behind-the-Scenes experience, the ‘hands-on’ experience includes professional photos with a koala, python, and raptor.
Then take a guided walk through the sanctuary with a very knowledgeable guide. Pat and hold some of the 130 koalas, hand-feed kangaroos and see hundreds of other unique Aussie wildlife such as dingos, wombats, Tasmanian devils, platypuses, emus and birds-of-prey show.
Next you will enjoy lunch at ‘Wild Canary’ – a local favourite in a country setting away from the tourists.
Then back in your privately guided vehicle to see why Brisbane is the best city in the world to live with an energetic outdoor culture based around our beautiful river and parklands. Mt Coot-tha and Kangaroo Cliffs provide stunning views of the city. Visit Southbank’s famous ‘city beach’, river walk, parklands and ‘Epicurious Garden’. You will also get to see lively café scene, one of Australia’s top art galleries and see the ‘Wheel of Brisbane’. Drive the tree-lined hills of Paddington seeing lovely heritage ‘Queenslander’ homes. Learn Brisbane’s history, from English prison to today’s sub-tropical capital.
Finally your guide will take you to Kangaroo Cliffs. A place complete with gorgeous views from the top of the cliffs overlooking Brisbane River, Brisbane’s downtown and botanical gardens. Definite photo opportunity!
At conclusion of the complete exploration, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.
· “Behind-the Scenes” Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary* 2 hour experience (offered as an optional extra at AUD$ 150 per person)
* The two hour, exclusive pass to step into “staff only” access areas and see how the wildlife sections of Lone Pine operate. This is in a small group of up to six people, this experience offers some amazing hands-on experiences with raptors, dingoes, pythons and koalas. Visit off-display areas such as reptile rooms and food preparation buildings. Concluding this particular experience will be access into Platypus House for you to prepare and feed the platypodes their morning tea. This includes professional photos with koala, python and raptor.
Note: Although this optional experience includes time with the koalas, it does not include a koala health check as does the Wild Koala Encounter.
Public holiday dates will incur a 20% surcharge.

If a cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to Tour departure the cancellation fee is 25% of the Tour price.
If a cancellation is made more than 14 days but less than 30 days prior to Tour departure the cancellation fee is 50% of the Tour price.
If a cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to Tour departure, or for a non-appearance to commence the Tour, the cancellation fee is 100% of the Tour price.
No refunds are payable for ‘change of mind’.
