Join your guide for a wander through country to discover local bush foods and hear tales of desert survival. Meet some local reptiles to learn about the central Australian wildlife that calls this desert landscape home.
Your guide will meet you at the entrance to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.
Departing the resort, the tour will travel into the landscape where your guide will show you the various types of bush foods favoured by the Anangu (Local Aboriginal people) of Central Australia.
You will sample different bush foods and find out about their seasonal importance to the diet of Aboriginal people as well as learning how they hunted for kangaroo, honey ants and witchetty grubs.
You will have the opportunity to meet the local reptiles and appreciate the extraordinary fauna of Central Australia.
Your guide will then return you to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.
Please dress in clothing appropriate to season. A hat, sunscreen and closed in shoes are all recommended, along with a flynet in the summer months of November to March.
Infants aged 0-4 years travel on tour free of charge but there is a $60.00 car seat charge per infant per tour. Car seats are supplied and fitted by SEIT Outback Australia according to NT Government Regulations.

If a cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to Tour departure the cancellation fee is 25% of the Tour price.
If a cancellation is made more than 14 days but less than 30 days prior to Tour departure the cancellation fee is 50% of the Tour price.
If a cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to Tour departure, or for a non-appearance to commence the Tour, the cancellation fee is 100% of the Tour price.
No refunds are payable for ‘change of mind’.
