This tour is a truly magnificent culinary experience designed to captivate you. ‘The Chef’s Table’ at St Hugo’s winery in the Barossa Valley is the best seat in the house and this is where you will be invited to sit, observe and enjoy your 8-course degustation menu, designed by Executive Chef Mark McNamara.
The 8 exquisite dishes on offer have been put together especially to showcase the flavours of the Barossa – this is a truly magnificent and distinctively Australian menu.
Today’s culinary journey will begin with a 10:30am pickup from your Adelaide CBD accommodation (or 11:30am from Barossa accommodation). From your accommodation, your private chauffeur will guide you through the picturesque landscapes leading the way to the Barossa Valley – this is approximately a one-hour drive.
The elegant oak trees lining either side of the St Hugo driveway will signal your arrival, and you will be greeted by your tour host to begin your St Hugo experience. With a glass of premium wine in hand, soak up the magnificent atmosphere of this truly sophisticated setting whilst learning of the story behind St Hugo’s and the landmarks of the Southern-most end of the Barossa Valley.
Once seated back in the restaurant, you will be overlooking the open kitchen and observing the culinary team as they prepare your 8-course menu. High-class wine pairings are included.
The degustation menu differs from the usual method where the Executive chef pairs wines to an already designed menu, at St Hugo’s Mark McNamara has designed the menu to reflect the complexity of the St Hugo wines resulting in a magnificent blend of flavours and ingredients not often seen. Your menu will also include a glass of the rare 1925 Tawny – each bottle of which is valued at $2000.00.
On conclusion of your culinary journey, your private chauffeur will be on-hand to transfer you back to your Adelaide accommodation at approximately 5:00pm.
This itinerary can be taken all year round, however seasonal considerations may apply and availability will need to be confirmed at time of enquiry.
This tour operates on demand 7 days a week. Excluding Christmas Day (25 Dec), and New Years Day (1 Jan) – other dates subject to availability.

No refunds are payable to the Client for any changes to the Tour requested by the Client after departure, the Client’s failure to appear for the Tour or any component part of the Tour, the Client leaving the Tour after its commencement, the Client being excluded from the Tour or any component part of the Tour in accordance with this Agreement.
