Today’s experience will begin with a 10:30am pickup at your Sydney CBD accommodation. After introductions, your local guide will begin by taking you to the historic Rocks precinct. This is your chance to explore where Sydney began and visit the convict built cottages, pubs and Australia’s very first Church.
Your guide will then head east towards the Botanical Gardens, which are conveniently located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. On your way to the Gardens your guide will detour down Macquarie Street, where you will be able to view Australia’s first Parliament House, the Mint, the Hyde Park Barracks, and St Mary’s Cathedral. The tour will then continue on to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair – where you will be able to enjoy the fantastic views across the Harbour, and even spot some of Sydney’s world famous icons – the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
Next you will enjoy a tour through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and Rushcutters Bay – stopping for lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia – home to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, one of Sydney’s premier sporting events.
No day tour of Sydney would be complete without a visit to Darling Point – one of the most affluent suburbs of Sydney. You will also have the chance to drive through Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, and Watsons Bay before heading up the coastline and arriving at one of Sydney’s most iconic attractions, Bondi Beach. Enjoy the atmosphere of Bondi, with the eclectic mix of locals, tourists and surf lifesavers enjoying this beachside hub. You will have the opportunity to take a walk along the esplanade – and there may even be an opportunity for some ice cream – before needing to re-board your vehicle.
Your guide will begin the journey back to Sydney, via the bustling Oxford Street and the suburb of Paddington – a charming boutique shopping precinct.
Your tour will conclude at Darling Harbour at approximately 3:30pm.
