The Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur Historic Site are some of Tasmania’s most visited destinations. Located on Tasmania’s scenic south east coast, the rugged Tasman Peninsula offers spectacular coastlines, blowholes, caves, and fascinating geological formations, such as Devils Kitchen and Tasman Arch. Much of the peninsula is protected as a National Park and is home to a diverse range of wildlife. You may be lucky to spot the endangered Wedge-tailed Eagle overhead.
Your experienced and local guide will greet you at your CBD accommodation at 8:30am. Travel to the peninsula and explore the famous rock formations along the coastline, before visiting Tasmania’s World Heritage listed convict settlement site, Port Arthur. Stroll through the well-preserved ruins and restored colonial homes, and your expert guide will bring its history alive.
Enjoy lunch at a select restaurant nestled on the shores of Stewarts Bay at Port Arthur. Relax and unwind at this beautiful location as you indulge in a delicious 3 course gourmet meal.
In the afternoon, board your exclusive helicopter for a scenic flight, which will take you over the spectacular rocky coastline of the Tasman Peninsula. Take in some of the highest sea cliffs in the world at Cape Pillar and Cape Raoul, and the highest light house in Australia at Tasman Island. Experience the true rugged scenery of this stunning location from above.
On your return to Hobart, stop at an award winning winery, perched on a hillside beside the vineyard. Delight yourself in some fresh local oysters and sample the fine wines of the area, whilst enjoying sweeping views and a rural welcome that will showcase the real Tasmania. Your guide will bid you farewell at your CBD accommodation at 5:00pm.
