His customised 65-foot West Coaster vessel ensure a comfortable ride whatever the conditions out to sea. Gavin’s location in the private marina on the beautiful north coast of KI is literally only minutes from some of South Australia’s most fertile fishing grounds.

These waters are arguably the states most prolific fishing waters. Featuring the mighty samson fish, southern blue fin tuna, huge snapper, sharks, blue morwong and Kangaroo Island’s world famous monster whiting and many more species!
Monster King George whiting are what draws adventurous anglers to the island, but there are dozens of other inshore and deep reef varieties of fish available as well. Snapper, giant blue groper, samson fish, yellowtail kings and tuna are on tap according to season for deep water enthusiasts, while the whiting (averaging 55cm!). It’s essentially a ‘best of both worlds’ situation that caters for most angling tastes and aspirations. And if one of your angling dreams is to crack the magic one kilogram mark on King George whiting, there are few places in the country where that ambition is more likely to be fulfilled than around Kangaroo Island.

You’re never too young to fish and Gavin knows some nice busy sheltered spots; deep-water fishing for the like of tuna, however, may prove testing for children under 14.
Best from February to May for blue skies, calm waters and lots of fish.
If a cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to Tour departure the cancellation fee is 25% of the Tour price.
If a cancellation is made more than 14 days but less than 30 days prior to Tour departure the cancellation fee is 50% of the Tour price.
If a cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to Tour departure, or for a non-appearance to commence the Tour, the cancellation fee is 100% of the Tour price.
No refunds are payable for ‘change of mind’.
No refunds are payable to the Client for any changes to the Tour requested by the Client after departure, the Client’s failure to appear for the Tour or any component part of the Tour, the Client leaving the Tour after its commencement, the Client being excluded from the Tour or any component part of the Tour in accordance with this Agreement.
