Get to know Kangaroo Island’s places of interest, rugged wilderness as well as the lesser known backtracks and explore Flinders Chase National Park. This full-day shared Kangaroo Island wildlife tour will uncover an unrivalled environment with wilderness covering nearly 200,000 acres.
Learn all about the wide variety of wildlife species such as koalas, echidnas, wallabies, possums, goannas and the ever-familiar kangaroos. This array of animals is not restricted to the ground as you look up to will see an incredible amount of bird life such as the rare Cape Barren Geese. The island has a well-regarded reputation for the protection of its most important geological features, wildlife and cultural heritage sites.
Driving to Cape du Couedic you will witness the dramatic dune country which uncovers an interesting variety of vegetation forms complete with a much-needed lighthouse standing proud and guiding many a sailor through the rough waters of the Southern Ocean. Continue on your walk to Admirals Arch, a suitably impressive and rare but striking natural landmark. Beneath it lies a resident fur seal colony with a rich history and these animals can be seen happily lying in the sun or perhaps frolicking in the surf under the Arch. This is a brilliant photo opportunity for wildlife photography enthusiasts.
Remarkable Rock are appropriately named as they make you stop and appreciate the sheer power and beauty mother nature can instil upon these granite rock formations. The naturally carved sculptures have endured unforgiving weather conditions consistently from the Southern Ocean.
A specially selected range of excellent food and wine produce will delight at lunchtime. Your picnic style meal may be taken sitting down to enjoy on an incredible clifftop overlooking the coastline or perhaps in the middle of the bush in an intimate setting where you can be at one with nature.
Your tour concludes at approximately 6:00pm when you are returned back to your accommodation or Kingscote airport to meet your flight.
This itinerary can be taken all year round, however seasonal considerations may apply and availability will need to be confirmed at time of enquiry.

We can accommodate most mobility difficulties; depending on the level of mobility it may be necessary to take your tour on a private charter basis and Occupational Health and Welfare legislation limits the total weight any one person can lift to 25kg (55lbs) so if susbstantial lifting is required an able-bodied companion must accompany anyone requiring such assistance.
Minimum age for children on a share basis tour is 6 years old. If you have any children in your party under 6 years. If you have any children in your party under 6 years of age it will be necessary to take your tour on a private charter basis

No refunds are payable to the Client for any changes to the Tour requested by the Client after departure, the Client’s failure to appear for the Tour or any component part of the Tour, the Client leaving the Tour after its commencement, the Client being excluded from the Tour or any component part of the Tour in accordance with this Agreement.
