Highly regarded as the signature for Seal Bay Kangaroo Island, this tour blends together an exceptional range of wildlife encounters complete with an elegant barbeque lunch at a private on-site location in the heart of the bush. Join a small group of like-minded travellers as you are shown the real beauty of “Island Life” on Kangaroo Island.
Your tour will begin between 9:00 – 9:45am, depending on where you are staying on the island (commencement is dependent on collection point when you book*). You will be greeted by your local driver guide and whisked away for a stroll amongst the red gum forest of the Cygnet River Valley. Take the time to look up and have camera ready, perhaps you will be the first to spot a Koala in the wild!
Next, it’s on to your picturesque location for delicious morning tea complete with home-made cakes and hot tea or coffee. Your guide will then continue on to Lathami Conservation Park for you to learn about the different species of animals that are found locally on Kangaroo Island. Keep a look out for the local and very popular kangaroos and prevalent Tamar wallabies – species that can only be found on the island.
Relax as your talented guide prepares your barbeque lunch in a private bush location. Deliciously local caught King George Whiting, a variety of fresh salads all complete with hand-picked South Australian wines. Take advantage of your guide’s local knowledge to ask as many questions as you can about Kangaroo Island and its rich culture, wildlife, natural formations and people.
Finally, you will travel to Seal Bay Conservation Park. Walk with your guide among the resident and rare Australian Sea lion colony on a magnificent white sandy beach. Appreciate this up close and personal experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
