For Melburnians, Mornington is a tightly held secret. A huge percentage of all visitors to the region are Melbourne locals who make the short trip South East along beautiful Port Phillip Bay. With a dramatic coastline to rival the Ocean Road and wineries and produce to challenge the Yarra Valley it is really hard to beat, especially if you only have one day for regional Victoria.
Be met at your hotel by your well-informed and connected local guide for a 9:00am start. The short drive to Mornington is a great chance to share some of your tastes and interests so these can be made a feature of your uniquely tailored experience.
Sit back and marvel at breathtaking views in one of our luxury touring vehicles as you enjoy premium Australian treats, including local chocolate, natural spring water and premium skin care products.
En route to the Peninsula, stop at our favourite local wildlife park for some behind the scenes encounters with kangaroos, koalas and a host of other native animals.
The Mornington Peninsula has some classic local sparkling to get the day’s wine tasting undereway. Tastings can be enjoyed at a number of local cellar doors, with the opportunity to venture behind the scenes with the winemaker.
The region is renowned for farm-to-plate experiences at restaurants and cellar doors. Enjoy one of the best over a two-course winery lunch with matching wines, nestled among rolling hills and sprawling vineyards. Weather permitting, this can be enjoyed among the vines in your own private picnic setting.
Visit hidden beaches among Victoria’s wild southern coastline for a gentle stroll after lunch or take the scenic drive up to Arthur’s Seat. If you’re in the mood for something cultural, we can arrange a private viewing at a local indigenous gallery. You might prefer to sample local artisan cheese and pastries in a charming country setting.
Return to Melbourne by 5:00pm.
