You commence your journey where Sydney began, in the historic Rocks precinct where you will see examples of Australia’s oldest colonial buildings. Wander through Sydney’s waterfront theatre district of Walsh Bay, which will take you along the foreshore with a view directly under the impressive structure of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Continue your privately guided Sydney day tour through the Botanic Gardens to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, a beautiful location to capture some iconic Sydney photo opportunities together; the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the famous sparkling harbour. Enjoy a locals overview and knowledge of Sydney – the past and present.
Drive through Woolloomooloo via the historic Fingerwharf Pier, with world-class restaurants and famous pie cart, all the while enjoying the Sydney skyline views. Drive through the colourful red-light district of Kings Cross – now home to some of Sydney’s best restaurants and trendy nightspots.
Tour the pretty streets of Paddington, lined with historic terrace houses and boutique shopping – including Australian designers labels such as Camilla, Scanlon and Theodore, Jack and Jac (with many more for those who want to explore Sydney laneways). You will then stop at a quaint Paddington café for morning tea before heading off to explore Sydney’s trendy Eastern Suburbs and breathtaking waterfront properties.
The next stop is at Nielson Park, a beautiful harbourside beach and park on the water’s edge in the exclusive suburb of Vaucluse.
Not far from the harbour front is an example of a magnificent fully restored neo gothic architecture from Sydney’s colonial past. You visit the gardens and exterior of Vaucluse House before continuing on through some of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs of beautiful houses and architecture en route to Watsons Bay.
In Watsons Bay you’ll stop for lunch enjoying views over the harbour back to city at the Watsons Bay Hotel.
After lunch, you take a look on the ocean side and visit The Gap with views of Sydney’s famous cliff faces.
Now it’s time to make your way to Bondi Beach where you will stop to observe Aussie beach goers and surfers at play. There is no better way to arrive at Bondi than via the magnificent cliff faces on the Bronte to Bondi walk. Your guide will stop and let you walk the best part of the coastal walk and meet you at Bondi Icebergs. This is a short 20 minute stroll and is a truly stunning coastline.
After your walk you make a stop at an Indigenous Art Gallery in the back streets of Bondi to get an insight to an array of Aboriginal ancient and contemporary paintings and artefacts.
Leaving the coast behind us you will head back to the city and drive past Centennial Park with its walking, jogging, cycling, horse riding paths and ponds and picnic grounds only minutes from the Central Business District.
Your return to the city through the trendy suburb of Darlinghurst with its stylish bars and eateries.
