Days 4 – 5: Minaret Station Alpine Lodge in Wanaka

Days 6 – 9: Huka Lodge in Taupo

Days 9 – 12: The Residences at Kauri Cliffs in Bay of Islands
Found on 6,000 acres near Matauri Bay, the Kauri Cliffs Lodge is a Northland luxury destination, nestled within native forest overlooking the on-site golf course and the vast Pacific Ocean. Within this beautiful destination, the Residences at Kauri Cliffs are found within their own private enclave only a few hundred metres from the main lodge. The exclusive four-bedroom villas are fully equipped with generous bathrooms, wardrobes, and balconies, alongside a private 25ft saltwater swimming pool, deck, private laundry room, open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining room with open fireplace, and more.

Day 1: Acclimatisation
Kia ora and welcome to New Zealand! Upon arrival into Auckland, you will be met airside by your local host at the airport and assisted with luggage collection through the immigration and customs express lanes into the arrivals area. From there, you’ll enjoy a private charter transfer to Queenstown and onto Matakauri Lodge.
At the Lodge, your afternoon can be spent at your leisure. The following optional activities are recommended:

Day 2: Guided Adventure in Queenstown
Dive headfirst into your New Zealand escape with a guided adventure day in the Queenstown region. Begin by ‘catching the canyons’ with the Shotover Jet—the world’s most exciting Jet Boat ride over 30 thrilling minutes. The Shotover Canyon walls will tower over you as your driver skillfully maneuvers you past rocky outcrops, and skims around crags and boulders.
You’ll also enjoy a visit to the nearby historic gold mining village of Arrowtown, offering a combination of historic buildings and quiet charm. The growing café culture means there are great cafés to choose from, and the artistic atmosphere means there is artwork ranging from traditional to contemporary on exhibit in the many nearby homestead studios.
Lunch will be at a local cafe (at own expense). From there, visit the Kawarau Bridge where A.J. Hackett, a New Zealander who became a worldwide cult hero after jumping off the Eiffel Tower on a bungy rope, first set up shop. You’ll soon understand why this site is the most popular bungy spot in the world. Located at the Bungy Bridge is also the Kawarau Zipride, where we highly recommend the Superman ride (at own expense)!
Round off your adventure day experiencing the thrills and excitement of an off-roading excursion as you explore the many trails located around Queenstown’s stunning Wakatipu Valley. You’ll ride in the latest model 6-seater buggy which can conquer almost any terrain. It is the perfect vehicle to explore a range of exhilarating terrain, including steep mountain climbs, creek crossings and beautiful forest tracks and trails. Your expert local guide will drive you up thrilling trails and entertain you with their extensive local area knowledge. You’ll enjoy spectacular photo opportunities with exclusive vantage points over-looking Queenstown and the Wakatipu Valley before returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Fiordland Helicopter Exclusion, Glacier Landing and Picnic Lunch
Following a private transfer to the helipad, today you’ll explore Fiordland with a Helicopter Excursion, including a Glacier Landing and a Picnic Lunch. Explore this famously remote and untouched part of New Zealand by helicopter, flying up close to 2000ft waterfalls, traversing the majestic fiords, dropping in amongst the NZ fur seals, foraging for fresh lobster, hovering over glaciers, landing in the snow for photo memories against the mountain backdrop, and enjoying a gourmet BBQ picnic lunch up on the mountain skyline. This is a completely tailored experience and will unquestionably be a highlight of your trip.
After this thrilling day, you’ll transfer via helicopter to Minaret Station Alpine Lodge.

Day 6: Weta Workshop Experience
Following private transfers via helicopter and charter flight to Wellington Airport via Queenstown Airport, experience an unforgettable WETA Workshop Experience.
Weta Workshop is a five-time Academy Award-winning concept design studio and physical effects manufacturing facility that services the world’s finest entertainment and creative industries. For over 20 years, the Workshop has applied its creativity and craftsmanship to blockbuster films and hit television series, including The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, King Kong, Elysium, Avatar, Thunderbirds Are Go, and Ghost in the Shell. With your Weta Technician, you’ll take a journey from Middle Earth to Tracy Island and beyond. Get up close to the props, weapons, creatures and costumes that bring a director’s vision to life, and pick up incredible collectibles from your favourite films.
From there, you’ll take a private charter flight from Wellington Airport to Taupo Airport, and transfer onto Huka Lodge.
Day 7: Mt Tarawera and Orakei Korako Helicopter Excursion with Picnic Lunch
Today you’ll experience an exclusive Half-Day Mt Tarawera and Orakei Korako Helicopter Excursion, including a Picnic Lunch.
Combine the thrill of landing on Mount Tarawera, the site of the largest eruption in New Zealand’s living memory, with a flight that includes spectacular aerial views of the pristine crater lakes, stunning waterfalls and the vibrant Waimangu and Wai-O-Tapu geothermal reserves. This amazing landscape is unique to this region because of its location on the fault-line relative to the Pacific Rim of Fire. Enjoy a sumptuous picnic at an exclusive venue on top of Mount Tarawera and then continue your flight to land at Orakei Korako, also known as ‘the hidden valley’, and board the ferry to cross the river and begin your guided 60-minute land-based tour. Here you’ll experience hot springs, gushing geysers and the natural beauty of this geothermal wonderland. Your flight will include the stunning Huka Falls, New Zealand’s most visited natural landmark where more than 220,000 litres of water per second barrels over an 11-meter-high waterfall, the Craters of the Moon geothermal valley, and Wairakei Terraces. Your return over Taupo City will offer views of three volcanoes to the South: Mount Ruapehu, Tongariro and Mount Ngauruhoe, with the latter having appeared as Mount Doom in the Lord of the Rings Movies. All activities are complimented by your pilot’s first-hand knowledge of the region’s unique geology, culture and history, served with a measure of genuine kiwi hospitality.
From there, you’ll transfer and land in Rotorua where you will be met by your guide for an afternoon Mountain Biking Excursion in the Redwoods Forest. Rotorua has some of the best mountain biking on this planet, and your exciting excursion begins in the Whakarewarewa Redwood Forest, Rotorua’s premiere biking venue. Surrounded by forest, you have over 100kms of purpose-built single track on your doorstep, beautiful lakes to cycle to and spectacular rides through thermal areas. Your ride today is very much catered to suit your abilities and preferences, and after a short warm-up, you choose from the many options to suit your skill and fitness level.
From there, you’ll take a private transfer to Huka Lodge.

Day 10: Bay of Islands Boat Cruise
Today includes a private vehicle transfer to the wharf followed by a Bay of Islands Boat Cruise, including lunch. Enjoy a fantastic day out sailing through New Zealand's world-famous Bay of Islands, with your private boat offering a fast and luxurious way to explore the bay with ease, while offering comfort, safety and ambiance for an exceptional day on board. Enjoy the breeze and the view from the covered deck, and guided by your professional and knowledgeable crew, you’ll enjoy activities such as enjoy beach combing, a light walk, and lunch served in a sheltered cove.
After this, you’ll take a private vehicle transfer back to The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs.
