Head out to the nation’s best kept natural secret, Ningaloo Reef, to explore the abundance of tropical fish and other species
Whilst the chef prepares your dinner, help yourself to the open bar and lie back in your deck hammock to watch the whales as they puff and breach on the far horizons
A delicious dinner is hosted against a backdrop of rich orange sunsets over the Indian Ocean and the sight of kangaroos and wallaroos appearing from the bush for their evening graze. The chef provides contemporary Australian cuisine with hints of bush food and native produce
Relax under the milky way whilst listening to the stories of the group
Rise early and enjoy breakfast to begin your day, if you are up early, why not fit in a snorkel among the coral beforehand
Enjoy a daily guided wilderness activity such as the National Park. Explore on foot through Mandu Mandu and the spectacular multi-colouredYardie Creek Gorge before heading back for lunch at the Safari Camp
After lunch spend the afternoon Kayaking to some remote spots along the coast
Spend your evening watching dinner being prepared and help yourself to drinks in the open lounge area
Rise early again this morning and enjoy breakfast in preparation for today’s activities
Explore the offshore encounters with the fabled whale sharks (available April to July). The opportunity to swim with the Whaleshark is one of the world’s greatest interactive marine encounters. This fish, the largest of the shark family and the largest fish in the world at an average of 12 meters (40 foot) in length, is a harmless plankton eater, with their graceful and passive nature providing an unforgettable day out on the waters of the World Heritage listed Ningaloo Marine Park
If travelling between July to October, experience the migration of humpback whales. The magnificent humpback whales swim through the waters of the Ningaloo Marine Park so why not experience a swim right alongside them. It is a truly ‘transformative’ experiencefor all nature lovers and ‘bucket-list-stuff’ at its very best!
You will be kitted out with a wetsuit & snorkel gear and enjoy morning tea as you motor out of protected waters and into the Indian Ocean whilst the crew keep an eye out for turtles, dolphins, dugongs, rays and sea birds
Depending on the day and experience, you may return to the calm waters of Ningaloo Reef for lunch & snorkelling
Return to camp for your last night of relaxation under the stars as the Chef prepares a delicious dinner.
Exmouth on the Northwest Cape is an interesting, friendly outpost of 2500 people. It is considered as the gateway to Ningaloo Reef, a stunning marine park made famous for swimming with whale sharks. Other attractions include the little-visited Cape Range National Park, home to amazing red rock canyons and gorges. The giant communications base (designed to communicate with deep-water submarines) is one of the more unusual things you’ll see in the world!
Nearest major City/Town City – Perth Town – Exmouth
Air Access Skywest Airlines operates a twice-daily service between Perth and Exmouth and a weekly service (on Sundays) between Broome and Exmouth. Road transfers are available from Exmouth Airport which is less than two hours’ drive.
Road access Guests can self-drive to the camp: from Perth it will take as much as 13 hours (1270km); from Exmouth Airport the drive is less than two hours and from Exmouth town it is about an hour.
